I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream! Looking for a sweet treat to beat the summer heat? Here’s the scoop on our favorite ice cream spots in the Manhattan area.

A&H Farm
My boys love the soft serve ice cream from A&H Farm. After playing on the farm and petting the animals, ice cream is a perfect treat on a hot day. Keep your eyes posted for some fun flavors (they try to mix in flavors that match their events). When we went, they had classic vanilla and a vanilla lavender combo to go along with their upcoming lavender event.
Baskin Robbins
Baskin Robbins is the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty stores. The company is known for its “31 flavors” slogan, with the idea that a customer could have a different flavor every day of any month. Download the app for rewards and specials!

Bella Hana’s Ice Cream and Pastry Shoppe
Retro 50’s inspired ice cream/food truck, Bella Hana’s Ice Cream and Pastry Shoppe serves the Junction City, Manhattan, and surrounding areas. In addition to ice cream, they also serve walking tacos, hot dogs, nachos, & more!
Bird’s Creamery
Follow the yellow brick road to Bird’s Creamery, a local from-scratch hard scoop ice cream shop in Wamego. Choose from fun sizes like Munchkin, Dorothy, and Wizard!
Cold Stone Creamery

Flint Hills Pints
Flint Hills Pints creates premium small batch ice cream in unique flavors using all natural, high-quality ingredients. You can find their products at 1880 Beef, Britt’s Farm, Sunset Zoo, and Therapie. They are also typically at the Manhattan Farmers’ Market! My boys really loved their cookies and homerun (mixed berry) flavors!
Hildebrand Farms Dairy
Take a tour of Hildebrand Farms Dairy and taste their delicious, soft-serve ice cream, available in cups or cones. Their soft-serve ice cream is made with fresh milk and cream, all-natural cane sugar, and pure flavoring. Check their Facebook page for special daily flavors.
Kreem Cup
Kreem Cup in Wamego first opened its doors in 1952, and it is a favorite local destination, offering 25 different sandwiches and burgers. Although the food is great, I’m heading there for some ice cream, locally sourced from Nebraska and Wichita dairies. The twist cones are my boys’ favorite!

Pandora Rolled Ice Cream
Want to try something new and unique when it comes to ice cream? Check out Pandora Rolled Ice Cream, serving made-to-order rolled ice cream, crepes, and boba tea.
Vista Drive In
Vista Drive In is located off Tuttle Creek Boulevard and has been serving up classic juicy drive-in style burgers, fries, and spectacular ice cream creations since 1964. My crew never leaves Vista without devouring a cyclone first, Vista crème mixed with your favorite topping!
