Plan your Visit
The Kustom Kars Gallery
We entered the museum and immediately headed to The Kustom Kars Gallery and Hall of Fame which includes custom cars designed by some of the brightest car minds in the world. You will pass through the gift shop on your way to the exhibits but once you enter, get ready because just down the hallway is a huge, interactive Hot Wheel area. This car table and play area is in the middle of a large display of amazing vehicles, making it a great place for younger kids to play while older kids and parents check out the extensive collection.

The Crossroads Car Experience
Continue cruising around to The Crossroads Car Experience which includes classic cars that have been restored to pristine condition and numerous interactive exhibits that will entertain the entire family! My boys loved testing their race car pit stop skills, racing with the car simulators, building with Legos, and racing derby cars. They also had a Mario Kart race car game set up that my older two boys enjoyed. Older kids will enjoy the driving, crash, painting, and welding simulators. Don’t forget to test your car knowledge at the Turbo Trivia area!

Drink and snack bar
Take a pit stop and check out the drink and snack bar located at the front of the museum. This includes a beer and wine self-serve station for the adults.
Events
The Garage Automotive Museum offers various events throughout the year.
Rotating exhibits
The museum’s core appeal is its rotating collection of cars, with exhibits changing every few months to showcase different aspects of automotive culture, from muscle cars to a specific color theme. We visited during the Hello Yellow display. What a perfect time to visit as it featured a yellow Chiefs van that my football-loving crew absolutely adored!

Mom Tip
Grab a push around buggy before you start your cruise of The Garage for little ones to use during your time exploring the museum (free of charge).
