The food truck scene has really grown in the Manhattan area. Although you can find many wonderful food trucks at The Corner Food Trucks, a food truck court on the intersection of Highway 24 and Green Valley Road, many can be found all over the greater Manhattan area. Check out our guide to food trucks and feel good about supporting local business with some of the best eats around town!

Barbecue

Bobby’s Food Co.

“Hands-down best Philly in Kansas” or so they claim, but you be the judge! The Big Boyz Food Trailer, powered by Bobby’s Food Co., serves BBQ pulled pork, signature tacos, and amazing sides. Check out their Facebook page to see when they do an event in Manhattan.

Boogeyman BBQ

This is a veteran and family-owned/operated Texas-style BBQ food trailer. Check their Facebook page to see when they are in town, and note that they do frequent The Corner Food Trucks.

Taste of Memphis BBQ and Catering

Serving up mouthwatering BBQ to Manhattan and the surrounding areas, take a taste of the Taste of Memphis food truck. You can find them often teaming up with Manhattan Brewing Company for events!

Stop by the Lemonade Stand at the Manhattan Farmers’ Market for a cool and refreshing drink!

The Outpouring

Head to the Manhattan Farmers’ Market and visit The Outpouring, a local food truck serving up hand-crafted espresso drinks, teas, and soda.

Sweet Silvie’s Lemonade

Sweet Silvie’s Lemonade specializes in a variety of lemonade and bolba tea drinks. The food truck can be found at the Manhattan Farmers’ Market and is a perfect cold drink for a hot summer day!

Tipsy Trailer

Fresh-squeezed lemonade, burgers, and spuds are the calling cards of the Tipsy Trailer. What a great combo! Find Tipsy Trailer at various events in Manhattan and the surrounding area.

International

The Grill to Go

The Grill to Go food truck operation and catering business is known for serving fresh, delicious Mediterranean food! Check their Facebook page for their location; they do frequent the Via Christie ER parking lot.

Jammin Jamaican Cuisine

Jammin Jamaican Cuisine is a local food truck serving up classic Jamaican dishes like jerk chicken, jerk pork burger, oxtail, and more. You can find them a lot at Outdoor Bank on Seth Childs as well as Manhattan Brewing Company.

Pashmina Nepali Indian Food

Head over to The Corner Food Trucks and grab some authentic, delicious Indian food like butter chicken and chicken tikka masala.

Pinoy Eagle

Also located at The Corner Food Trucks, Pinoy Eagle serves up some tasty Filipino food. Find Filipino BBQ dishes, sizzling pork belly, lumpia rolls, and refreshing halo halo (a classic Filipino dessert- a blend of tropical fruit, ice cream, and flan)!

Mexican

Guero Loco

In the mood for Mexican street food? Try Guero Loco. Find them on Laramie in Aggieville for lunch through the late nights!

Taco Loco

Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and more! Fine Taco Loco at The Corner Food Trucks. Make sure to check out their food and drink specials.

Taco Móvil

You can typically find Taco Móvil at the Autozone off Ft. Riley Blvd serving tacos, tortas, and burritos.

Taqueria Los Burritos

Taqueria Los Burritos serves up some delicious Mexican food. Find tasty tacos, taquitos, tamales, and more! They recently moved the food truck to a new drive thru and diner location on McCall Road.

Tres Hermanos Tacos

As a mama of three boys, you know I couldn’t leave off Tres Hermanos Tacos, a food truck serving up Authentic Mexican food on McCall Road. Come and try some tacos, tortas, burritos, gorditas, quesadillas, quesabirrias, and more!

Yami Yummy

Yami Yummy features a…well, yummy (sorry I had to do it) fusion of Mexican and Nicaraguan food. Head over to Autozone on Fort Riley Blvd and grab some tacos, burritos, gorditas, and more!

Pizza

By Yurii’s Pizza

By Yurii’s Pizza is a New York style pizza food truck, located in Junction City, that also serves gyros and burgers. Do check their Facebook page for the truck schedule, as they often do events in Manhattan!

Seafood

Cousins Maine Lobster

A newer food truck that frequents the Manhattan area, Cousins Maine Lobster is bringing delicious fresh lobster from Maine to the Midwest! Check their Facebook page for when they swing through Manhattan and Wamego!

On the Hook

On the Hook Fish and Chips Food Truck travels throughout Kansas, making many stops in the greater Manhattan area. Check their Facebook page and mark your calendars for when they stop in Manhattan, Junction City, and/or Wamego! They specialize in line-caught wild Alaskan cod fish and chips with their house-made Tartar Sauce.

Treats

Bella Hana’s Ice Cream and Pastry Shoppe

This is a retro 50’s inspired ice cream and food truck serving the Manhattan, Junction City, and surrounding area. Check their Facebook page for their weekly schedule. You can also find them doing some fun dinner/dessert collaboration nights with some other local food trucks!

The Dough Bro

Located on Ft. Riley Blvd, The Dough Bro features sweet treats like cinnamon rolls, scones, cupcakes, and savory delights like bierocks and sausage rolls.

Flint Hills Pints

Flint Hills Pints creates premium small batch ice cream in unique flavors using all-natural, high-quality ingredients. You can typically find them at the Manhattan Farmers’ Market and the Wamego Community Market!

Icy Outlaw

Icy Outlaw is a snow cone truck located at The Corner Food Trucks. There are a lot of flavor options, as well as sugar-free options!

Snow Dogs

Snow Dogs is a family-owned shaved ice trailer. You’ll typically find them in Wamego and on Saturdays at The Manhattan Farmers’ Market.

Tad’ss Shaved Ice

If you find yourself in the Westloop Plaza area, plan to grab a shaved ice from Tad’s Shaved Ice! They are open during the late spring to early fall season and serve up shaved ice in more flavors than you could ever imagine!

Varsity Truck

The Varsity Truck is a permanent feature in Aggieville that serves up late night treats from 9 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. Enjoy their famous mac and cheese grilled cheese, corn dogs, bacon bombs, and of course, fresh hot donuts.

Wings

Fat’so

Fat’so serves up some amazing wings, burgers, fries, and more at the Dollar General parking lot on Tuttle Creek Blvd.

Mom Tips

  • We also have a couple of local restaurants that attend various events in the area with their food trucks. Keep your eyes open for the Mr. K’s, Smokin Willie’s BBQ, and Vista Drive In Food Trucks!
  • Parkside Station started hosting Food Truck Thursdays. Swing by on a Thursday and check out the various trucks they have in attendance for the week!
