Best Neighborhood Lights in Manhattan: East Route

0

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to go look at neighborhood Christmas lights!

This driving route has been created with the best light displays on the East side of Manhattan. Plug the addresses below into the navigation app and go make some holiday memories!

Want more lights? Check out our driving route for the West side of Manhattan.

Mom Tips:

  1. The weekends are usually busier for people to go look at lights. Some of the top locations you might need to park to the side to wait to have your turn to look. Consider going on a Sunday evening or weeknight.
  2. Plan either an early or later dinner that night. Perhaps a crockpot meal such as chili will make dinner a bit easier the night you go out.
  3. Pack a light snack and either bring along homemade hot cocoa or consider stopping at one of the amazing coffee shops in the area for a warm treat! Pack those car blankets too!
  4. Crank up the Christmas music!
  5. Create a scavenger hunt from your car as you drive around looking for reindeer, Santa and the Grinch as well as whatever else you can think up of. Your game, you make up the list of what to find!

I’m just a normal mom who is trying to figure out how to have it all. Married to my best friend Dylan, we have 3 children, 2 senior dogs, 10 fish and a frog. Our children are 4.5 years, 2.5 year and 8 months who regularly like to do yoga with me and see if I can carry all three of them at the same time while doing squats. I’m originally from Junction City and together with Dylan have lived in New York, Denver, Kansas City and now Manhattan for the long haul. My Bachelor's is in Family Studies & Human Services from Kansas State University and my Master's is in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies. I spend my free time trying to plan dates with my husband, writing and aggressively applying eye cream.
