Mom’s Guide to K-State Women’s Soccer

0

Get ready to cheer on K-State Women’s Soccer team this season! Soccer matches begin in August and the season continues through the end of October.

First, keep your eye out for K-State goalkeeper Murphy Sheaff, who has been named among a traveling reserve for the New Zealand Women’s National Team for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Sheaff is the first player in K-State soccer history to represent her country at an Olympics, and you can see her up close at her home field! In addition to Sheaff, the whole team is made up of hard-working, student athletes with amazing stories.

Guide to Buser Family Park

With nearly 1,400 seats, the Buser Family Park opened in 2018, and still feels new. This makes the whole park feel brand new and super clean! One of the high-end features for the team is a field with one of the top playing surfaces in all of Division I soccer with a natural Bermuda grass surface, irrigation and drainage systems.

Check out these tips for a great family outing!

Parking

Parking is free and is a very easy, direct walk to the field.

Strollers

Small strollers are allowed inside and must be stored under your feet. You will have the option to bring in lawn chairs to use  in the standing room only section which might be a bit more comfortable for children to get up and move around!

Clear Bag Policy

In addition to a clear bag, small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue. Bags needed for child care or breast pumps are allowed after inspection and must be in clear bags as well.

Baby Friendly Features

There is a designated family restroom on the west concourse. While there is not a designated nursing area, there is plenty of space to feed your baby in the stands.

Food and Beverage

While additional outside food is prohibited, concession stands are available when the gates open, 1 hour prior to the first kick.

Mom Tip

Remember to pack your child’s ear protection to help them enjoy the match even when it gets loud!

Get K-State Soccer Tickets

I’m just a normal mom who is trying to figure out how to have it all. Married to my best friend Dylan, we have 3 children, 2 senior dogs, 10 fish and a frog. Our children are 4.5 years, 2.5 year and 8 months who regularly like to do yoga with me and see if I can carry all three of them at the same time while doing squats. I’m originally from Junction City and together with Dylan have lived in New York, Denver, Kansas City and now Manhattan for the long haul. My Bachelor's is in Family Studies & Human Services from Kansas State University and my Master's is in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies. I spend my free time trying to plan dates with my husband, writing and aggressively applying eye cream.
