Attend the Veterans Day Parade in Manhattan

Veterans Day, which always falls on November 11, honors those who gave their lives and service to our country. It originated as Armistice Day and marked the end of World War I.

The Manhattan Veterans Day parade is Kansas’ largest celebration of service, sponsored by the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition.

Monday, Nov. 11
9:30 a.m.
Manhattan Town Center to 14th & Poyntz Ave.

A Veterans Breakfast will be hosted prior to the parade from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the American Legion Post 17. Free for veterans.

Following the parade, join in a ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. at the Peace Memorial Auditorium at City Hall. Captain (Ret.) Mike Riley will be the keynote speaker.
